John's Charity Work

John Abraham has done alot of charity work. His mum is a social worker so he works with her to help children who have threatening diseases. I think it is a wonderful contribution that someone can make, when helping somone who is less fortunate than you are. All though most people always think that celebreties do it for self promotion, I personally do not believe that.

John Abraham's masti on streets of Morocco

John Abraham is currently in Morocco to shoot for the new Fastrack campaign, which will hit the telly soon. It is a languid sunny afternoon in the streets of Morocco. Enjoying his anonymity, John Abraham, sunglasses perched on his head, lazily strolls along, taking in the sights and sounds of a fruit market. The market is like a fantasy, filled with fresh, colourful fruits of every imaginable type being sold by dark-haired kohl-eyed beauties. John looks in no hurry to be anywhere else. He stops at the nearest apple cart. He gestures to the beautiful woman to pack him a few. She gives him the polite, professional smile and starts to pick out the fruits. As he waits, he lowers his sunglasses onto his face. Suddenly the woman drops the apples, vaults over her cart towards him, dramatically drapes herself around him and coos, “Bachao!” Before a startled John can react, another beauty comes running down the street, leaps over the fallen apples, hides behind his back and whimpers “Bachao!” He turns around in confusion. A third beautiful woman, cycling by, shouts “Bachao!” Soon, heavily accented cries of “Bachao” from beautiful damsels in distress around him fill the air: A woman hiding behind a lamp post; s woman walking her dog; a woman on a terrace overlooking the market; women from the other fruit stalls; vendors; customers; passers by! John is in a daze. Confused onlookers look at him strangely. He shrugs at them. He has no idea why these women need saving and what he can do to help. He takes his sunglasses off and looks around. Suddenly the woman who started it all, the apple vendor, holds her wrist to her forehead (Nargis style) and whines “Naheeeeeen! She goes back to her apple cart. The cries stop. The women disperse. Life is back to normal. A knowing smile crosses his face as the gag dawns on him. He looks at the camera, shakes his head and mutters, “Heroines!”

John On Koffee with Karan Season 2..!

John Abraham. Don't miss this super-hot episode of Koffee with Karan, with Bollywood's super-sexy couple, John and Bipasha this Sunday, May 6th at 9 p.m. only on Star One and Star World.
Excerpts from the interview:
Karan Johar: When you have such a hot girlfriend... and like all kinds of people compliment her... think she's so sexy... has it ever bothered you? Any kind of irritation at times?
John Abraham: Well I think it's great... It's a compliment... ya... and she's got such long legs...

Karan Johar: So she can defend herself... and what about you Bipasha...women think of all kinds of obscene things when they think of him... does that bother you?
Bipasha Basu: I think its the business that we are in and the kind of personalities that we are.. and the kind of image that we keep... I think if that is not the reaction then there is something wrong.... I look at it very intelligently... the reason we are together was because at one point of time we must have found each other really attractive...that's why we firstly must've got hitched...It doesn't bother me.. I pretty think of myself very highly...

Karan Johar: I like that....that's very important..
Bipasha Basu: Ya.. There could be other women but there's no one like me

Karan Johar: And you agree with her John?
John Abraham: She's the original

Karan Johar: And everyone else is a copy?
John Abraham: No.. not really but she's the original...

Karan Johar: What about marriage? Is it a step ahead or is it something you are not giving any thought to?
Bipasha Basu: The kind of family background that I come from its very important. It's the most important institution. My parents are the most romantic people that you will ever find. So marriage is definitely very important but at this point of time I think I'm very young... maybe some few years...
John Abraham: Ya... Just work right now...

Karan Johar: Ok so John having fun... Enjoying your work ... loving Salman as well………?
John Abraham: Kya bolu abhi
Karan Johar: Bolo na
John Abraham: I don't know
Karan Johar: What happened?
John Abraham: If you ask me today also what the problem is, honestly, I don't know, but it's unfortunate that there is a problem.. And if things get ok.. It will be nice
Karan Johar: But what went wrong... you don't know
John Abraham: Honestly... I don't know... I ask her the same question every day
Karan Johar: There is a problem
John Abraham: But when we figure out... I will let you know
Karan Johar: Has there been a very awkward moment very recently?
John Abraham: Not really
Karan Johar: You just look right through each other...
John Abraham: Ahhh ...I think I used to say hello... but he is kind of upset with me... He is a senior...so I don't get into the way of things... it's important that I understand that I have come here to do work. I have not come here to make enemies. I don't want to get into the middle of any controversies.

Personal Impressions of John's Career...

Personally i think Johns career in the film industry has gone from strength to strength. He started of weak in his movies but gradually showed a great deal of acting ability. His strongest performance was in the hit movie Dhoom, where he rised to being a superstar overnight. John has had many roles ranging from being a thief, killer, lover, comedian, terrorist and musician. He has proved to his audiance that he can give a good performance and is choosing his movies roles more carefully and roles that allow him to show that he has that ability to act them. I think he will have a stable career in the future as long as he thinks twice before signing movies. lol.

There were many scenes in his movies that i have enjoyed seeing. My top five movies of him are : - Dhoom
- Garam Masala
- Baabul
- Jism
- Kaal

Life is being good to me:John

John Abraham who is a trained footballer and is a member of the Bombay District Football Association is having a great time on Vivek Agnihotri’s Goal. “I used to play A-division soccer in college. I was heavily into sports before I joined films, and Goal takes me back to those days. I’m having a ball,” says John. Once John returns from London, he goes straight into shooting for Nagesh Kukunoor’s next, Aashaayen. “We were supposed to start in June, but now we’ll go straight into that in May once I return. Then I’m doing Vikram Motwane’s film with Vidya Balan and there’s also Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar,” he asks. According to John he really doesn’t think too hard about his selection of films. “At the end of the day I just want to entertain. Whether it’s Goal or No Smoking, they’re all entertaining films with a message,” he says. “Life is being good to me. My last two films Baabul and Salaam-e-Ishq didn’t do too well in India, but Baabul was a big hit overseas. I refuse to see Kabul Express as a loser. It was made within a budget and was definitely a plus film. It did incredible business in Mumbai. I’d rather see my glass half full than half empty,” says John. Remind him that he isn’t doing any full-on commercial film, and John protests, “Arre, Goal is the best commercial script I’ve ever done. It’s a complete masala flick and you can quote me on that. Every member of the audience will enjoy it.”
